A Wonderful Healing Experience

Our 'Special Eucharistic Healing Service' was conducted on 31 March 2006 in the Cathedral Basement hall and was well attended by a wide cross-section of our parishioners in Kuwait. Fr. Lionel Braganza started the service with the exposition and adoration of the Blessed Sacrament. It was truly a heavenly experience as the Lord was brought into our midst shining brightly, radiating His light into the hall where the lights had been turned off. Fr. then led all present into a Meditational trance, followed by a Talk on Inner healing. The focal point of the service was the symbolic surrendering of all our 'trash' to the Lord. Those present were asked to write down on paper 'crosses' - vertically - their hurts, pains and weaknesses that they need help to change, that they need healing for, and horizontally how they want Christ or their spouse to help them in these areas. Fr. prayed over these crosses, that were pinned/nailed to a large wooden cross, offering them to the Lord and asking Him to heal these areas of our lives. The most beautiful part of the service was when the Blessed Sacrament was brought around to every person so that we could be healed just by touching the Lord, as did the lady with the 'bleeding sickness' in the Gospel. A prayer of Inner Healing was said, that was immensely touching as few of those present could be seen crying. After the couples had read a 'Commitment' prayer, the service was concluded with the final blessing. Our melodious choir was on hand continually leading us into sweet singing with their appropriate music. The final action hymn 'I Love you Jesus' was enjoyed by all. Below are some photographs of the day:

It was a truly wonderful experience and very different too. The idea of the cross was fantastic. Fr. Lionel Braganza is a blessing to the community with his thoughful words and ocassional unintended pun. We would like to hear more talks from him on different topics if possible. God bless you all for giving us a BLESSED evening.

You guys are great!

I mean it was a brilliant idea in the first place to have these series of "family talks". Knowing fully well the importance of saving and building up families, we're doing every bit possible to carry the efforts of your work far and wide.

And now that you have a blog, I'm sure you will be able to do greater things.

We were just glad to give a link to your blog.
